Contacts, tags and saved groups
Find anyone, see everything they were sent, tag people, and save a set of filters as a group you can send to.
The Contacts page
Contacts lists everyone in your workspace in one place, whichever list they are on. Search by name, email or company, then narrow it down with the filters: tag, list, how they reacted to your last campaign, status, and whether they are on the do-not-email list.
Vecta remembers your filters on this device. When you come back with nothing chosen, your last view returns. Clear filters forgets it.
One person's page
Click anyone to see their details and every email they were sent: delivered, opened, clicked, replied, bounced or failed. If someone was skipped, the page says why: they unsubscribed, their address bounced, or you blocked them by hand.
Add or edit a contact by hand
- 1
Press Add contact
On Contacts, or on any list to add straight into it.
- 2
Fill in what you know
Only the email is required. Add tags and tick the lists they belong on.
- 3
Save
To fix a typo later, open the person and change the email.
Changing an email changes who you are emailing
A do-not-email block belongs to the address, not the person. If you change an address that was blocked, the new address is not blocked. Check the Do not email page before sending.
Tags
A tag is a short label like vip or conference-2026. Tick people on the Contacts page, type a tag and press Tag. Remove tag takes it off again. When you have filtered the page, Tag all matching tags everyone who matches, not just the page you can see.
- Tags are lowercase, up to 30 characters, up to 20 per person.
- Commas separate tags when you type several.
Saved groups
Choose some filters, press Save as a group and name it. The group remembers the filters, not the people, so it stays up to date as people open, reply or get tagged.
To send to a group, press Make a list on the Saved groups page. That creates a normal list with the people who match right now, and you pick it when you create a campaign.
Example
After a campaign, you filter for Opened the last campaign but didn't reply, save it as "Warm, no reply", and a week later press Make a list. Your follow-up goes only to people who showed interest and stayed quiet.
A made list does not update
A list made from a group is a snapshot. If more people match next week, press Make a list again to get a fresh one.
If something looks wrong
- "Nobody matches" on a campaign filter: those filters look at your most recent campaign. They are empty until you have sent one.
- "That email is already a contact": each address exists once per workspace. Search for it instead of adding it again.
- A saved group shows fewer people than before: people who were tagged, opened or replied differently since you last looked. The group always shows the current picture.
